NELLYSFORD, VA—Bold Rock Hard Cider has announced the release of a new seasonal style perfect for the fall, Harvest Haze. Available August 2nd throughout the Mid Atlantic, Harvest Haze is a blend of Blue Ridge Mountain apples paired with the unmistakable flavor of the season – pumpkin.
The origin of Harvest Haze is one of celebration, ensuring a proper pumpkin and spice infused cider to toast towards a bountiful harvest and the transition from summer to fall. Harvest Haze delivers both the typical refreshment of a Bold Rock seasonal cider as well as the artisan spirit of spice and pumpkin sure to please the palate. Real pumpkin is suspended in the liquid to ensure pronounced flavor which also adds a hazy amber appearance reminiscent of our favorite fall gourd.
“Pumpkin is such a beautiful fall flavor that we had to eventually try our hand at a cider that infuses the best of what we love about the season while staying true to our Bold Rock roots,” says Head Cider Maker Ian Niblock. “Harvest Haze has a nuanced character that should please the pumpkin crazed as much as those that are looking for a more subtle taste of fall.”
Founded in 2012, Bold Rock produces a wide range of hard cider and hard seltzer styles from apples harvested in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. The independently owned and award-winning craft beverage brand now has over 140 full and part-time employees while operating two production facilities – the original Bold Rock Cider Barn in Nellysford, Virginia and a second cidery and tap room located in the bucolic pastures of Mills River, North Carolina.
Bold Rock features more than 12 styles of artisan hard cider, including the popular original Granny Smith infused Apple as well as a rotating mix of seasonal selections and the IPA (India Pressed Apple). Bold Rock also offers a new line of hard seltzer including the Cucumber Melon and Grapefruit styles launched in June 2019. These innovative varieties of cider and seltzer have found favor with a wide range of customers and critical acclaim throughout the craft beverage industry.
Harvest Haze will be available on shelves throughout Bold Rock’s distribution footprint through October including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Washington D.C.
