From Orchard to Bottle

What is hard cider?

Hard Cider is apple juice that has gone through a fermentation process in which its sugars have turned into alcohol. Just as wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented grape juice, hard cider is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice.

Real Craft

Our Process

Because we source all of our apples within 35 miles of our cideries, we are able to pick and crush when the fruit is at its peak freshness. We extract almost 85% of the volume of each apple to produce the juice for our Hard Cider.

Once we have harvested and crushed our local apples, the science of cider making begins. Our juice is expertly fermented to create a crisp, refreshing and bold taste profile that our fans have come to know and love.

After filtering our fermented cider to strain out remaining yeast and solids, the art of cider making takes place with the blending of our juices. Our ciders are methodically tested throughout the process to ensure we get the same taste profile, every time.

Our cider is then bottled, packaged, and shipped, bringing people together across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

Some Awesome Facts

Founding Beverage

Hard cider has been enjoyed in America since the days of our founding. Thomas Jefferson grew his own apples, and made cider with a hand-cranked press. It is reported that John Adams drank a tankard every morning.
